This page is dedicated to my father, David Trehy, loving husband to Rosemary and brother to Patrick and Johnny, who passed away at Willen Hospice on 2nd July, 2020 after a short illness with cancer.

My father was an intellectual, he loved his chess, his poetry and in latter years would spend many a day out cycling with mum.  He would often recite obscure works from memory at random occasions (much to my embarrassment in my younger years).

Mum worked tirelessly to care for dad at home for several months, with limited help available in the face of a pandemic. 

At the end, the efforts of the amazing staff at Willen Hospice allowed my mum to spend precious time with dad and comfort dad on his final journey.
